Mid-South Bunny Museum (Continued)
Our immediate family gives us a hard time about our zeal for anything bunny, and teases us that there are help groups available - but it is all in fun (except when jokes
are made about rabbit stew). Some of our relatives have even contributed bunny items to the museum.
Our collection consists of tins, cookie jars, hot pads, dishes, cups, formal dinner serving items, silverware, salt & pepper shakers, magnets, rugs, pillows, blankets, towels, stuffed bunnies of various sizes, artistically painted resin figurines, light switch covers, door knobs, statuettes, paintings, posters, wreaths, tapestries, small glass bunnies, wallpaper borders, and fan pulls among other things - I think you get the picture. We also have seasonal items (like our bunny Christmas Tree).
Linda has an assortment of bunny themed clothes and jewelry. We have one favorite
stuffed bunny, Chester, that sits on the hearth wearing sweaters according to what time of the year it is, and other stuffed bunnies that come out at their proper season.
In our back yard surrounded by a wood privacy fence we have more statuettes, bunny flower pots, a hare and tortoise weathervane, bunny wind chimes, bunny stepping stones, a “Bunny Xing” sign, and other items that have to be seen to be appreciated. We periodically rearrange our displays to keep us from becoming too familiar with them.
Being a house rabbit owner makes one painfully aware of the public’s ignorance of how wonderful a pet they can be if properly cared for. So for us to build the Rabbit World
View web site was a natural. It is a labor of love, a perfect extension of our Mid-South Bunny Museum.
If you have a MySpace web site, we invite you to join our network at www.MySpace.com/RabbitWorldView . And if you are ever in our area, be sure to contact us for a free Magical Bunny Tour of the museum.
