Rabbit World View May 2010 Newsletter
Where's The Remote Control?
Did you hear about the wife who went to the store? As she opened her purse to pay her bill the cashier asked why her TV remote was in her purse. The wife answered "I was so mad at my husband I wanted to kill him, so taking the remote was the next best thing". Be very careful with your TV remote control because bunny rabbits love to chew off the little buttons. We are speaking from personal experience.
Video of the Month
Our hearts go out to our fellow Americans in Nashville, Tennessee who recently experienced disasterous flooding. Estimates of the damage was put at over one-and-a-half billion dollars. In 2008 Central Arkansas had a similar flooding experience. One fortunate bunny rabbit was rescued by some "good ol boys" who kidded about having the little critter for dinner. But as you will see in this two minute video the rabbit is set free onto dry land: Arkansas Flood
The Universe Of Youtube
They say you could constantly watch videos on Youtube from the time you were born until the time you died at a ripe old age and never see all the videos that have been posted. Just think of how many videos there will be 70 years from now. On second thought don't think about it - its too mind boggling. If you enjoy rabbit videos, the Rabbit Network does a good job of posting videos on YouTube of their bunnies up for adoption. You can even subscribe to their network - pretty cool. Check it out at: Rabbit Network
Is It Carrots Or Cheese?
There is an American Bristo in Austin, Texas that features a large rabbit on top of their sign. No, they do not serve rabbit meat inside because if they did we would not be featuring their way cool sign.
What's In A Name?
If you like natural handmade bath and body products you might find something to buy at Bunny Butt Apotherary. We kid you not, that is their name. They have some clever things to say about bunnies that cracked us up. For instance, no bunnies were in any way used in the manufacturing of their products. If you are curious, Bunny Butt is found at: Bunny Butt
Poisonous Plants List
In last month's Rabbit World View's Newsletter we gave out information on starting a vegetable garden from which you can feed your companion rabbits. For those who are into gardening here is a list of plants featured on Sacremento's House Rabbit Society website that is about as thorough as you will find. As they say on their site "Better safe than sorry": Poisonous Plants
Addiction Alert
Is your rabbit companion addicted to the most irresistable treat on planet earth? Of course, we are talking about raisins. In case you are not aware of the power for addiction of these tiny morsels your furry friend relishes, you need to have your bun take the Raisin Addiction quiz found at the BunSpace site - it is very clever: Raisin Addiction
Yes, Virginia, There Is A Rabbit Whisperer
In England, Cliff Penrose is the only Rabbit Whisperer. He puts bunnies into a trance
before they have to see the Vet or when they just need to be calmed down after a stressful experience. He does not charge for his services. Penrose is 60 years old and has 50 bunnies of his own. To learn more and see pictures and a cute cartoon go to: Rabbit Whisperer
Update On The Bonding Of Our Bincy Bunny & Blackie Bunny
On May 24th Backie Bunny was neutered. In a few days we will finally put these two precious creatures together and find out what happens. No more taking turns on who gets to play out, etc. We are having Christine Bishop and her prayer warriors say a prayer for a happy bonding experience (she was featured in our April 2010 Newsletter). If your pets need prayer give Christine a call at: 231-865-6021.
They say April Showers bring May Flowers. We at the Mid-South Bunny Museum do not mind coming off "cheesey" by hoping your life with your pets is flowered with much beauty and grace.
