![]() Amy the Continental rabbit, who was four feet long, was to appear on the Italian TV show "Record Breakers" but sadly died in a hotel room from a heart attack probably brought on by the stress of traveling all the way from England. One of Amy's 30 offspring, Alice, is going to be even bigger than her mother. Hopefully for Alice's sake, her owner won't make the same mistake twice. Many don' t realize that the Brer Rabbit stories made so famous by Walt Disney's movie "Song of the South" can be traced back to early America among the Cherokee Indian tribe. Many of the Brer Rabbit stories were brought over from Africa by the slaves.
