Spring Has Sprung

With Springtime weather comes the season of shedding for most animals, and rabbits are no exception.  The best tactic to take is to brush your pet almost daily to keep the floating hairs in your home to a minimum.  For detailed instructions on keeping your rabbit well groomed see our article:  Rabbit Grooming.

Easter Rabbits' Dilemna

Every year at this wonderful time many uninformed parents will give in and buy their little ones a rabbit for Easter.  This kind of impulse buying bodes ill for far too many bunnies.  First of all, rabbits are not good pets for very small children, and too often when the novelty of having a pet rabbit wears off because of the committment required for caring for them, they get discarded.  The great people at Rabbit Network have a flyer that can be downloaded that is useful in getting the message out about this alarming situation.  Here is the link for it:  http://www.rabbitnetwork.org/images/EasterFacts.pdf

The Easter Bunny

Easter is just around the corner.  We have put together an article about the Easter Bunny's origen as well as the whole Easter season's beginnings.  It is a very interesting study - we hope you enjoy it:  The Easter Bunny.

Peter Cottontail

Continuing with the Easter theme, we did some reseach on Peter Cottontail and that famous Easter song about him - you know, that song that every time you hear it you can't get the tune out of your mind for the rest of the day.  Here is our article:  Peter Cottontail.

The Ten Commandments

With Easter Sunday being the most religious day for Christianity we thought you might enjoy seeing what someone has posted on the Internet called "A Pet's Ten Commandments".  It is beautifully done, but our only criticism is there are no pictures of rabbits:  http://home.att.net/~hideaway_today/t125/pet.htm

Rabbit Video of the Month

We love a good rabbit video (they are not that easy to find) and offer this short one for your viewing pleasure.  It is about a mother cat who has adopted a baby rabbit and lets it suckle right along with her kittens:  Baby Bunny.

Easter at the Mid-South Bunny Museum

Some trouble with flu viruses has slowed down our pace, but we will have our Easter bunny items out on display shortly.  We hope your Easter Season will be free from sickness and full of the joy of new-birth.  Every day is a gift, that's why they call it "The Present".  Use your present well.  We will continue to do our best to do the same.
