The Month of Love

We hope all had a wonderful  Happy Valentine’s Day.  There was a lot of bunny love going around.  It would be quite appropriate to give your rabbit a rose for the occasion because bunnies love to eat rose petals and to chew on the stems.

A Month of Politics

February is also the month of Super Tuesday in Presidential politics.  If you are not happy with the choices this time around you might want to vote for Mr. Pinkerton.  In case you haven't heard of him yet, you can catch his press release photos here

A Month of Rescues

Some people seem to run out of love, especially when it comes to bunny rabbits.  A sad tale was told in Utah this month of 17 Angora rabbits being let loose on Highway 91.  These are the breed of rabbits that require their coats to be brushed daily so you can imagine the shape they were in when finally rescued by those who still had love to give.  You can read all about it HERE.

New Articles for Rabbit World View

Last month we forgot to put the link to the rest of the White Rabbit article, so you can go there now by clicking White Rabbit, or you can go to our new material about why Lewis Carrol wrote Alice's Adventures In Wonderland - is it an allegory or metaphor?  Check it our by clicking Lewis Carroll.

We also watched Walt Disney's "Alice In Wonderland" this month and wrote about how he came to make it.  If interested, please click "Alice In Wonderland".

The Loving Touch

And keeping with our theme of love, here are some hints for bonding more closely with your bunny rabbit.  Learn to massage your bunny by gently rubbing his/her skin around in non-habitual way.  This is soothing to your pet and works to relax the nervous system on a cellular level.  When done correctly, that is in a gentle manner, your little friend will be waiting around for you to give the next session of love.   HINT: This works on humans as well.

Winter Weary?

With Spring coming in a month, we at the Mid-South Bunny Museum are already getting out the Spring collectibles, flags, and banners.  Since Easter comes early this year, the Easter specialties will be out soon as well.  Hang in there, the winter season won't last all that much longer.  I know our friends the rabbits are looking forward to Spring because it is the most Bunnerful time of the year!!
